Exploring Athens / Indie South Holiday Market

Wednesday, December 09, 2015

We swung by Indie South Fair's holiday market this past weekend on one of the most gorgeous December Saturday's you've ever seen. Indie South is a local Athens' market that showcases entrepreneurs, artists, and local makers. They have several markets throughout the year, but their Holiday Market is one of the biggest with vendors coming from all over the Southeast. Almost every booth contained items that were handmade. It's amazing the amount of talent that some people have! If you are looking for some cute handmade items to add to your Christmas list (or gift to someone else), here are a few of my favorite vendors that were there...

Emergolde shop sells the cutest toys & dolls for kids. I couldn't get over how cute these handmade dolls are! Each one is about 19" tall and comes with their own personal tale of what they do in the Emergold Forest.

I started following Sons of Sawdust on Instagram soon after we moved to Athens. They are run by two brothers who travel around Georgia salvaging wood from old homes, barns, train depots, you name it, and turning them into the coolest things. Check out their online store here.
