Wellness Wednesday: Favorite Health & Nutrition Podcasts

I listen to podcasts a lot when I'm taking a walk or working around the house. I especially like listening to podcasts about health, wellness, fitness, nutrition, etc. because I think those topics are much better digested (no pun intended) through formats like podcasts versus reading. Also, there's very little reading time available in my life right now, so podcasts it is!

Here are a few of my favorites.

Natural MD Radio
Natural MD Radio is hosted by Dr. Aviva Romm, a functional medicine doctor, midwife, and herbalist. She shares fascinating content on health and natural medicine with a focus on women's health, fitness, beauty, and natural living. A lot of her podcasts have to do with thyroid and hormone problems, but she also dives into pregnancy, antibiotics, stress management, nutrition, and lots more.

Bulletproof Radio
This one you've likely heard of before. It's hosted by tech entrepreneur and founder of the Bulletproof Diet, Dave Asprey. Asprey calls himself a bio-hacker and talks a lot about taking control of your biochemistry, body, and mind to create a state of high performance. Most of the episodes are interviews with MDs, biochemists, Olympic nutritionists, meditation experts, and other fascinating people so there are a lot of different voices and perspectives.

Balanced Bites
Liz Wolfe and Diane Sanfilippo are the hosts of Balanced Bites: Modern Paleo Living. Each week, they chat about current topics in the health and nutrition world and share insights to listener questions. They also have several experts on their show to discuss their fields of expertise and knowledge.

The Nutrition Diva
This podcast is hosted by Monica Reinagel, a licensed nutritionist and author of the site Nutrition Over Easy. I love her podcasts because the episodes are short and sweet and get right to the point. Each one covers a different eating habit or nutrition fact and she always offers great dietary advice.
