What's In My Amazon Cart | Vol. 1

Thursday, October 26, 2017

If you're anything like me, your Amazon cart is filled to the brim (so much so that the sub-total sends you into shock) with items that you want, but aren't quite ready to purchase yet. My Amazon cart has become a collection of items that have peaked my interest enough to save them (i.e. put them in my cart), but I'm still debating whether or not to purchase them. Putting things in my cart and then waiting a few days before purchasing has been a good technique for me. If I still really want it after a few days have gone by, I'll go back and purchase it. More times than not, though, I realize I don't really need that second oil diffuser — even if it is pretty.

This rule has also served me well as I get more interested in the world of health and nutrition. New wellness products appear every day in my Instagram feed from influencers and bloggers and I am such a sucker for these things (at least I'm self-aware). So I've made a rule that I'm not allowed to purchase any so-called health item until I've done my own research and am fully aware of the pros and cons. This has saved me from making some pretty crazy woo-woo purchases in the past. That said, there are still a few items that have been hanging out in my cart for a little while now that I thought I'd share with you.

1. This water pitcher has been sitting in my cart for some time. I have no real reason for buying it, but it has survived multiple cart purges simply because it's so pretty.

2. Honestly, I have no idea if these eye gel treatments even work, I just really want to try them.

3. I borrowed this book about nutrition from the library and loved it so much I want to get my own copy to reference.

4. I know we're about to head into winter, but these Chacos are calling my name. I'm leaving these in my cart as a subtle Christmas hint. :)

5. Has anyone tried XCT oil before? I'm keeping this one in my cart while I do a little more research.

6. This seems like the most wearable hat ever...for a very decent price.

7. I've been hearing about this skincare brand a lot lately and am curious to try their facial cleansing oil.

8. Kim's blog post about dry brushing made me put this in my cart.

9. I've loved listening to Dr. Taz Bhatia's podcast recently, so her book naturally made its way into my cart.

10. Natural toothpaste and activated charcoal are two woo-woo items that I'm really curious to try. Again, keeping them in my cart until I can do a little more research.

If you have/have tried one of these products, let me know if it's worth pulling the trigger on.

  1. We are on the same wavelength! I wish I had some better insight, but I have activated charcoal (and just regular charcoal bar soap), cocokind products, and the eating on the wild side book sitting my cart. :)
