Healthy Snacking Tips for a Fall Movie Night

As much as I love summer, even I have to admit that there's a certain coziness to a fall night that just doesn't exist any other time of the year. I miss the extra daylight, but the introvert in me also loves staying in and getting cozy. It helps that a new season of The Crown is coming to Netflix soon too!

The best part about movie nights, aside from the actual movie, are the snacks! Toss some delicious popcorn in a bowl and pour a cup of chocolate rooibos tea and you've got the makings for a perfect night! The trick with snacking (as with all meals) is to stay mindful and not down an entire bag of popcorn without realizing it. I like to portion out my snacks into a cute bowl like this before starting the movie so I have a visual cue to stop snacking when the bowl is empty.

One of my favorite snacks is so simple it hardly needs a recipe. Just slice an apple up and drizzle some warm almond butter and raw honey over the top. I like to heat the almond butter for a few seconds first and then add some chunks of honeycomb in as well. It's so good just like that, but if you want to get really crazy, you can add in a salty factor with some Skinnypop popcorn. Sweet, salty, and crunchy = perfection.
