Weekend links 12.29.17

Happy Friday! I am so happy that 2018 is almost here. It's been a quiet week at home, so I've had lots of time to organize and prepare for the new year. Mark and I prepared a budget to help us next month with our house remodel. We're also doing a Whole30 starting on the 1st and I'm looking forward to the challenge of doing this round on the cheap. I'm planning to participate in Amanda Watter's Rest Retreat and am already enjoying the soul-searching that it's causing me to do. A new year feels shiny and fresh, but it's also the very heart of winter which, to me, means slowing down and being more intentional with my time and energy. The temps are dropping a little more every night and I'm finding comfort in simple winter things, like a cup of tea, a space heater, and a new book. Whether your weekend is full of fun activities or cozy nights at home, I hope it serves as the perfect welcome to a fresh new year.

Here are a few links to take you into the weekend...

This explains why I feel so tired after sleeping in.

Can you imagine living this close to all your family members?

If you haven't heard already, there's a new season of Peaky Blinders on Netflix and it's awesome!

All the deets you need to know on oil pulling.
