The other Saturday we woke up with absolutely no plans for the day (except to mow the yard which doesn't count because that's on the list for every Saturday). We were both lounging in bed, scrolling on our phones, when I came across a photo of Toccoa Falls, a 186-foot waterfall in North Georgia. "Let's go here today," I told Mark, showing him the picture. A few hours later, we were in the car headed north to Toccoa.
A wedding had just taken place at the base of the falls when we arrived and a cellist was playing on the rocks beside the falls. We stood there for several minutes listening to the notes above the roar of the waterfall. It's not every day that you stumble on a cello concert by a waterfall, so that was pretty cool!
We topped off the day with a stop by Hop's Kitchen in Gainesville for lunch. Mark tried their mushroom & pesto burger and I got the Dirty Bird chicken sandwich. We tried a bite of each other's sandwiches and each claimed that our order was better, so we agreed to disagree. If you're in Gainesville around lunchtime, highly recommend this little gem.
